So Stylistic!

I’ll be the first to admit that I have a pretty serious shopping addiction. Being a SHAM doesn’t help because when I’m not actually at home, I’m  out somewhere, buying something. Here’s the two latest purchases for the kids. So fresh and so clean Nike Air Maxes for Fritz and tiny Am Appy Sesame Street Tee for Lola Bean. Cute squared.

Eeeek Gads! I loooove this AA meets Sesame Street collaboration. The simple line drawings make for a tasteful representation of the Sesame Street crew. I got the above tee and tote for Fritz and I. Made for Hipster Moms and Kids everywhere Am Appy is sold!

Trofast You’re My Hero

trofast

In efforts to make Fritz and Lola’s room more user friendly, this weekend we set up the Trofast system from Ikea (shout out to my mom for helping me put it together). I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Everything feels put away and super organized. Only recently did we haul up a shit-load of toys from the living room area to the bedroom. They were just sitting there in some stackable bins being ignored for the most part. But now with drawers of toys and shelves of books, that he can easily access, it’s become much more of a bedroom/playroom. This system is cheep and easy to assemble. I love the variety of colorful drawers and all the options for different levels and surfaces. Yey for organization!

Cool or Drool?: Graffiti Necklace

graff-necklace

I love bright colorful stuff so I’m immediately drawn to this graff letter necklace. Then on second thought, it could make for a major baby fashion faux pax and yes, it’s possible. Kids are not exempt from judgement. Sorry it’s a favorite playground pastime of mine. Anyway I think Fritz would look ridiculous in one of these. I don’t want his look to be considered ‘Hip-Hop’ , so let’s not reinforce it. Remember the goggles. I think the necklace could work on the right kid in the right outfit. I envision it on a girl, under the age of 4, paired with a tomboy look of cuffed jeans, gingham short sleeve button up top and a pair of brightly colored chucks. Make it work people! Make it work!

Transformers T-Shirt Fail!

transformer-tee

See this Transformers t-shirt, kids hate it. I bought the t-shirt on sale at a Wal-Mart for $3. I also bought a Sponge Bob one. I thought ‘Woah! Deal of the century’. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but appliquéd onto the tee is a plastic Transformer that has lights in it. As soon as the tee senses movement the light blink. And the whole thing is washable. Cool. Upon seeing it in the store I figured Fritz would think it was, like, the most awesome thing ever. Well I was wrong. He hated it. I’ve tried to put the shirt on him for various occasions and he would trow a fit. I’m talking, wouldn’t let me get it over his head, crying, fuck u mommy fit.  Read the rest of this entry »

Oh Geez Baby Capsule Collection

Stella Gap

This just in, Stella McCartney has designed a capsule collection for Baby Gap. New York Magazine reports ‘The Gap collection will launch later this year in select GapKids and babyGap stores in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland, and Japan. It will also be available online in the U.S.’ Technorati Profile

Personally I’m not a huge fan of Stella McCartney. Too expensive, not the vibrant, unusual asthetic I typically look for in clothing. Hum, wondering if Stella’s collection will be smug baby fashion or totes adorable? Let’s discuss.

Stroller Envy!

prod-1248

I have 3 strollers. One is a Bugaboo that I bought used. It’s grey and in decent condition and has been in storage since Fritz could sit in the Maclaren Triumph (since about 1 ish, maybe even a little before). I also have a Maclaren Volo that serves as my ultra light weight, on the go, quickie stroller. Out of all 3 strollers the one I use the most is the Maclaren Triumph because it leans back for napping. Well at this point it’s trashed. The thing is covered in coffee stains from me setting my lattes and food stuffs in the folded up hood. The drab blue color seems faded and dull. The stroller was a gift from my parents, not the color way I would have chosen, but a great stroller all the same. Anyway, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to purchasing yet another stroller. I’m a mom about town now, I should have a fab stroller, no? and there is a new baby on the way (I can justify anything). This is the stroller I always wanted, the Maclaren ‘I love you’ stroller by Lulu Guinness. I think I’m gonna go for it!

Tragically Hip

babe-kids1

My friend Salah brought this back from Japan for Fritz. It’s Fritz’s first Bape thing…and probably his last. I doubt I’ll ever spring for a $400 mini Bape Varsity jacket that he’ll outgrow in a few months. But luckily he wont outgrow a watch! Good thinking Salah. Anyway the package is awesome. It opens like a magazine and even has a Bape Kids catalog attached to one side. Check it out!  Read the rest of this entry »

Toddler Shopping Addiction: Sweet William

Sweet William is a chic kids clothing boutique in Williamsburg Brookyn. The shop, and it’s offerings, have a very rustic organic appeal. You won’t find many primary or multi colored goods here but you will find loads of darling onesies, pj sets and earth tone clothing. After browsing I got the feeling that this was what kids in France wear. They have an amazing collection of life-like stuff animals from a company called Hansa. Fritz got the chicken as a gift for his 1st birthday from out friends who live in the neighborhood. On my recent trip to Sweet William I got yung Fritz a pair of classic yellow rain boots. Oh hai Spring! I’d say the prices are moderate-expensive. It’s a bit hard to justify buying a kid a $75 shirt these days (or any day) but I think Sweet William great place to pick up a gift for a baby shower or birthday. If you don’t live in Brooklyn they also have an online shop. Check out more images of Sweet William after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

Toddler Shopping Addiction: Munster!

I’m really not feeling boys (meaning men) in heavy street wear anymore (did I ever?). The trickle down theory applies. It’s basically just run it’s course. But for little munchkins I think kiddie street wear is adorbs! You see all those bright crazy street wear looks, really look like their made for children, so when you see a 35 year old man rocking an all over print hoodie and neon dunks….ugh, not a good look. Anyway, I just stumbled upon this brand called Munster and I’m freakin’ out! It’s a bit pricey because it comes from Australia but if you got the loot just have little man wear it baggy for a few months. The brand makes boy’s kids and baby clothes. I love the humor and mini adult silhouettes. And what about the House of Holland and Jeremy Scott knock offs? Oh Hai Hipster Babe! Check out some of my favorite pieces after the jump. [Buy On Tutti Bella] Read the rest of this entry »
