Home Body Style!

I’ve talked a lot about the “mom” part of being a SAHM, now let’s discuss the “stay at home” part. I’d say I spend about 65%-75% of my time at home. Which in turn makes me a genuine certified homebody. But in all honesty, I don’t mind it. We keep a cozy home and have plenty of space for the whole family. During the week I mainly leave to do the following: exercise, grocery shop, run random errands and pick up Fritz from school. Occasionally we hit the park, ┬áhave an after school snack or visit a play place but many days, especially in the winter months we’re in from 4:00 pm to the next morning or afternoon.

Because I’m an advocate of looking good is feeling good, even if I’m just picking up Fritz from school, I’ll put myself together in a head to toe look, chic, cute and casual. Sometimes I won’t leave the house until 2:00 to pick up Fritz and I’ll be back at 3:30, having styled myself for a few dozen preschoolers. BD won’t see me until he comes home, and by then I’ve shed my ensemble for a pair of sweats and a tee. When I go up to my closet to strip into comfier threads I sigh knowing it’s a pity that particular outfit could have gotten more page views.

Here’s where things take a turn for the worst…while I have loads of great clothes, I do not have loads of great loungewear and when you spend 65% of your time at home in the comfort zone something doesn’t equate. The few pieces that I wear around the house are getting drab and tired. So in an effort to step up my loungewear game I did some research and found some things I wouldn’t mind sporting while cooking dinner and changing shitty diapers….

I don’t currently own any pieces by Wildfox but I’ve been wanting to cop these peach sweats for months. All their clothes look ultra comf and good stylee sweats are hard to find. Gimme! All the above available on Karmaloop.

In my opinion slashed tops a la Flash Dance are a must…and this one by Rebel Yell is something to add a dash of color to the mix.

I was JUST thinking about this yesterday!!! I was thinking about getting some cuter stuff for around the house instead of my uniform of leggings and tshirts… :) … I do the same, get all dressed just to go out for a bit… then my boo only ever sees me in the uniform!

Hello! That RVCA outfit is all me. I cant find the top :( where did you find it! Although i am not a Stay at home mama I go through the same situation – being cute all day then putting on my ratty shit for the BF to see. I need to spice it up with some cut out sleeves and saucy sweats.
