Coffee Tawlk! Tori Spelling

I’m dying to get your opinion on Tori a.k.a “T” a.k.a Mama a.k.a Hollywood’s #1 Domestic Goddess. Don’t let my position sway you, be honest, but you know what? I love her! I actually adore her. I’ve watched several seasons of  Tori and Dean’s show and, call me a sucker, but I truly believe that there is a whole lot of honesty and happiness there. Duh! Of course they want to paint a pretty picture for T.V but something tells me that Tori isn’t going ballistic on her kids or raging out on Dean when the cameras are off. I’m thinkin’ what you see is what you get. Am I crazy?

I totally admire the way she re-invented herself in an unconventional self-made kind of way. Yes, she had the advantage of fame and fortune and could have taken many paths, but she did it her way and started the Tori empire from the ground up. We saw the new Tori when she went from the role of Donna Martin— handed to her on a silver platter by her Dad— and then chose edgy roles in House of Yes and Scream 2. The minute I saw her along side Parker Posey in House of Yes the Tori paradigm had shifted.

I love that she met Dean, a handsome yet down-to-earth-low-budget TV actor on the set of a Lifetime movie called Mind over Murder. And don’t get me started on the portrait tattoo he has of her. Now, that is what you call love. I also think the reason I buy into their life on camera is because Tori has been on camera for most of her life, so I think she has the ability to live her life freely with the tape rolling.

I would actually go as far to say she’s kinda a role model to me. Watching her type out a book on her laptop with the kids running about is no easy task, rich or not. And frankly I don’t even care if there is a nanny there (which often times it seems that there is not), she’s still present for her kids by being at home. The crafting, the parties, the books, the store, I love it all and I think her parenting, style and entertainment mix is awesome. I’ll say this: It’s not my style per se, but the nature of the TORI operation is right up my ally. I even found out on the latest episode of Tori and Dean that she’s blogging, I mean who isn’t? But ediTORIal is just like most mommy blogs with the usual recipies, crafts and musings and like the rest of us it comes from the heart. What can I say, I’ve got a mega mommy crush on Tori Spelling. Anyone else?

Yeah, I’m totally obsessed. And, I’m not even a mother.

Eh. She seems all right, but not too crazy about the fact that she stole Dean away from his former wife and child. I know, it takes two to tango, and you can’t truly “steal” someone away from anyone else, but still. Low points.

I love her! I’ve been watching her show for several seasons now, it’s one of my all time favorites.

I agree that they come across as very real on their show.
